Recently I've been seeing Instagram posts either talking about the 'same old' defeat of January, when new year's resolutions find themselves at the bottom of the to-do list, or aggressive posts pushing you to go-go-go. I think this is of course troubling and guilt-inducing when your goals are associated to managing endometriosis in 2018...
However, I've also noticed a counter-culture to this, a culture that is more about reflections, intentions and pacing ourselves. Reminding ourselves of our values and how we want to feel in the coming year, and using that as our compass.
This is how I've been trying to approach my year and how I want to do manage endometriosis in 2018. So recently I wrote a piece for Endometriosis News on how you can spend some time working on your endometriosis experiences of 2017 and how you can move towards how you want to feel in 2018.
You can read the full column here, and I'll also be taking us through a step-by-step process on this, with tools, resources and intention setting in my upcoming mini-retreat at She's Lost Control next Sunday 28th. The day will include healing and pelvic focused yoga, meditation and an endo-friendly brunch, so it's a great way to create an endometriosis management plan in a fun and supported way.
